Ansel Adams was born in San Fransisco in 1902. His family migrated from Ireland. He spend his childhood days playing in the sand dunes by the golden gates and this later became his photographic inspiration. he broke his nose during the San Fransisco earthquake. As a child, he was very hyperactive and had few friends. He was nature curious from early ages. He is an American photographer and an environmentalist. He is known for his landscape photographs. He is known for his black and white pictures from Yosemite National Park. His first photographs and writings were published in the Sierra club. He developed the zone system with Fred Archer. Zone system is a way to determine proper exposure and contrast of the final print. His first portfolio was published in 1927. His work is usually seen in calenders, posters and in books.
I like this picture. i like all the snow on the mountains and how the mountains looks black. i also like the sky it seems like it's moving. i think it's focused properly and you can tell the mountain is what you are suppose to be looking at.
