Josef Sudek was born on March 17 , 1896 in Bolin, Czech Republic. He is a shy person that never married. He was originally a bookbinder. He was also drafted into the Austro -Hungarian army during World War I, in which he lost one arm. After the war, he studied photography in Prague. He was able to make art using his army pension and in the 1920's he worked in the romantic pictorial style. he used large cameras but with aid because of his missing arm. Even though his pictures were said to be modernist, most of his pictures were neo-romantic. His work included haunting night-scape and light falling from inside cathedrals. He also published about 16 books in his life.
I like the lines that falling rain created on the window. I also like the two different colored roses and putting the odd color in the middle.
I like how the white egg is reflected three times through the glass. I also like the little water bubbles in the glass. i think a few places came out a little too dark and it would have been better if it was a little lighter.
I like how the light is falling from the windows into the building. I think the background could have been focused better. I like how the pillars get lighter as it gets further away.
I think this picture is okay but one side came out a little too dark. I like the three glasses of water. i also like how the flowers and the leaves stand out because the leaves are darker than the rest of the picture and the flower is much littler than the rest of the picture.
